Thank you for looking at my portfolio!

I have more than 15 years of experience doing digital content production. 4 years were in freelance marketing, and 10 years were in the professional advertising/marketing sector. I have a vivid background in all things video production, focusing on editing and digital asset management.

My marketing background includes video, motion graphics, broadcast commercials, and online content (i.e. social media assets, YouTube Pre-roll ads, product videos). Regarding my freelance work, I have worked with several advertising agencies, creating social video advertising campaigns, and filming and editing multi-cam comedy shows for headliners such as Sam Morill and TJ Miller.

My corporate career started at Complete Weddings + Events where I filmed and edited wedding videos.  I believe it's here where I got very well with clear/effective communication. I worked at Missouri State University where I filmed and edited online lecture course videos for online classes, many of which are still used today.  I worked at Springfield Leather Company as a lead marketing assistant where I did everything ranging from product photography/editing using Photoshop; graphic design for web and print media via Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign, as well as doing email marketing campaigns.  Wanting to give back to the community I worked at National Audio Company in conjunction with The Library of Congress creating audio books for the blind. It’s here where I honed my audio post-production techniques (i.e. audio restoration, noise-reduction, eq, and various techniques like sidechain compression). I proceeded to work at O'Reilly Auto Parts's Corporate Offices as a Digital Designer where I helped lay the foundation of their Video / Audio productions.  This includes everything from curating the gear lists, personally setting up their recording studio/video studio, and training the employees who operate them.  I was both the Director of Photography and Video Editor.  Projects that I worked on include single and multi-cam Commercials, Social Media Content, DIY Videos, and Training Videos. In addition to my video work, I was also responsible for creating motion graphics, email marketing, posting in the CMS, and various online display ads.  I've learned to effectively budget my time, and pride myself on never missing a deadline at O'Reilly Auto Parts.

My most recent position was at Bass Pro Shops corporate offices where I began as a video editor, and then received a promotion in my first two years to visual content producer.  I have worked on many national broadcast commercial campaigns, social media accounts (including the Wonders of Wildlife account), product videos, training videos, special projects for the CEO of the company, multimedia projects, and various digital signage.  I also help with location shoots and live-streams and have curated our equipment list for the next business year as well as our radio/podcast studio that is in development.  In terms of footage, we deal with a lot of Arri Alexa, RED R3D files, Sony Slog3 Footage, Black Magic RAW files, and various other camera footage such as DJI 10bit drone footage. With my elevated title, I also became responsible for maintaining the video production servers.  This included allocating storage, running backups, and automating LTO Tapes for redundant backups. My peers and superiors often refer to me as a Swiss army knife, in that I can help pick up the slack when problems arise due to the unique breadth of my knowledge set.   I also bring a positive attitude to the workplace and want to see everyone in my department succeed, so I help however I can.

I’m incredibly driven, and self-motivated, love working with teams, and always do my best to create products/edits of the highest possible quality. I live and breathe film production as well as have a true passion for it. I'm always learning and doing my best to keep up with relevant technologies, particularly in the video sector. I don’t believe in ever settling for less.

I would welcome the opportunity to further discuss my skills and this position. If you have questions or would like to schedule an interview, please contact me by phone or by email. I have enclosed my resume for your review. I look forward to hearing from you.

Sincerely,

Andrew F. Mittman
